So this past Sunday at church was a notice in the bulletin for a new pre-marriage class on Sunday mornings for 6 weeks. After the 6 weeks is a weekend retreat, which supposedly is fun. Although it’s $150 EACH for the class, Mathew and I decided we’re going to do it (mainly because his parents offered to pay $150 themselves) because it’d be good for us to learn more about ourselves in a relationship (though, I’ve lived with him and his family for almost 2 years…so I pretty much know alot) and hopefully to make friends our age in the church.

I am at the church quite often because on Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons I work in the childcare rooms. We don’t know anyone at church our age since I’m always around other adults, and Mathew always has to work 30 mins after church is out (which means as soon as the service is over he rushes home, changes, and goes). I think this will be good..though I’m kind of nervous. It starts the first Sunday in February, so I’ll keep you all updated on it.

I also got a chance to talk to my older sister, Arlene, today. We discussed a bridal shower that my Aunt Gloria wants to host for me, and we concluded that June 5th would be a perfect day to have it since my other sister, Heather, will be graduating on the 4th. I hope my Aunt agrees that it’s a great date, because I’d hate to make 2 trips down to Corpus.

All in all, there’s been alot of interesting wedding progress in all of this, so I’m happy. Also, my job is going pretty well. Today was a little bit of a challenge, but I suppose that’s normal for working with high schoolers!
