The. Dreaded. Guest list.

You know it’s called that for a reason, right? Yeah, because it’s…dreaded.

I thought I had avoided that monster, but apparently the other day I was proven wrong. Sure, we’d had a few hiccups in the early stages of wedding list making, but we pretty much smoothed them out.

The problem with knowing so many people is that we just know too many people. I want to invite every single person I’ve ever met that has brought me through this journey called life all the way until marriage (and I know Mathew feels the same way). Sadly, we can’t do that though. We could easily invite 400-500 people (well, if we weren’t thinking about a budget), but it’s just not possible for us. We had to make our decisions wisely and really think about who we wanted at the wedding.

We had to go over our guest list Friday night because we were going to start working on invitations Saturday morning and needed our “for sure” final count. Let’s just say, it wasn’t easy calling up my parents (or talking to his parents) but we got it done. We have a great guest list and we’re excited to share our special day with everyone.

With only 2 months and 7 days, we’re so close to the wedding! Things are starting to get a little bit hectic, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
