I live in central Texas and let’s just say that lately it’s been hot Hot HOT. It’s mid-October and while I wanted to wear a tank top with a cute sweater yesterday, it was impossible because it was 89 degrees out! Being that it’s been so hot lately, I was starting to get nervous about taking my bridal portraits this upcoming Thursday.

First of all, my dress is of a heavy material. I’m getting married in December and it SHOULD be cold then (though it really doesn’t get too cold here until mid-January), hence why the fabric was a big factor in my decision making process for my dress. But bridal portraits in October? Definitely not a good idea if I’m trying to wear a big and heavy dress.

Luckily…mother nature is completely on my side (as per the 5 day forecast):

Look at Thursday! It’s PERFECT. A high of 73 will feel SO nice and I wouldn’t be opposed to wearing a heavy and hot dress in 48 degree weather. PLUS it’s not going to rain!!!!

I’m pretty excited about this cold front coming in and I can’t wait to tell you all how the pictures go!
