The Double Duty Designer Diaper Bag

Finding the “perfect” diaper bag is tough when you’re a first-time mom. I’ve seen FAR too many diaper bags and they each have their own set of fun features. It was really difficult for me to find a bag that I truly liked because they were either too big and bulky, not stylish, or just didn’t have the features I wanted. I looked at popular brands, and even bought a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag that I’m trying to sell now. I thought the PPB bag was my dream bag, until I realized that it was bulkier than I wanted, and had so many zippers that it’d take me forever to get to the things I’d need for Addison. I wanted a double duty designer diaper bag that would not only work as a diaper bag, but as a purse. I started to get SO frustrated until I found Lily Jade.

This double duty designer diaper bag from Lily Jade is exactly what I'm looking for! Love all the features she talks about! #lilyjademommyhood #lilyjadestyle

See…I’m the girl with the huge Michael Kors purse with me at all times, and it’s packed…to the BRIM. Lately, I’ve been trying to downsize and I’ve taken out everything but my wallet, phone, keys, planner, and 1 small touch-up makeup bag. Trust me, that’s still a lot, but there was so much more initially! I’d go to the nail salon for a pedicure and when the itty bitty lady would try to lift my purse to put on the hook, I thought she was going to have a hernia (or at least she acted like it)- it was THAT heavy.

This double duty designer diaper bag from Lily Jade is exactly what I'm looking for! Love all the features she talks about! #lilyjademommyhood #lilyjadestyle

I recently switched bags to the Sarah Grace from Lily Jade, because it’s the perfect double duty designer diaper bag. Let me tell you why I love it so freaking much:

The Sarah Grace can be worn 3 different ways- with the small handles or with the long strap.  The long strap can be on your shoulder, or worn as a cross-body. I actually love wearing it as a cross-body bag just because I know once Addison gets here I won’t have to worry about holding my bag and my baby. The long strap is detachable, which is nice when we’re going out for date night (like we did on Monday!)

Every Lily Jade diaper bag comes with their signature Baby Bag, which is washable, zippered on top, has a matching changing pad, 16 pockets, and get this…it’s REMOVABLE! I’ve already started putting Addison’s things in the baby bag, and I’m amazed at how much I can fit.

This Lily Jade designer diaper bag fits SO much! I need it in my life! #lilyjademommyhood #lilyjadestyle

So far my Lily Jade Baby Bag has:

Pampers Swaddlers Diapers
Huggies Clutch N Clean Wipes
Linzy Dawn Designs Nursing/Infinity Scarf
Happy Baby Wrap
Lansinoh Disposable Nursing Pads
Johnson & Johnson Trial Size Baby Powder
Johnson’s Trial Size Baby Lotion
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste

I still have 2 pockets for bottles, 6 pockets, and half of the inside still empty. This will give me plenty of room for extra clothes, a swaddling blanket, pacifier/lovie, my makeup bag, planner, and any other necessities we might need for our Addie girl. Since I don’t need her things right now, all I have to do is take out the Baby Bag and now my Sarah Grace is a purse. There’s a convenience pouch inside the purse that has room for my phone, money, and cards, which pretty much eliminates any need I have for a wallet.

I’m so excited to meet our little Addison and use my Lily Jade Sarah Grace designer diaper bag arsenal. Everything is coming together SO fast that I can’t believe we only have 8-9 weeks left! I’m so excited to meet our little one, see her face, and put all these diaper bag goodies to use!

Make sure you follow Lily Jade on Instagram and Pinterest because this week because I’ll be pinning away fun pregnancy/mommyhood stuff, AND I’ll be mini-blogging on their Instagram using the hashtag #lilyjademommyhood.

What’s your favorite feature of the Sarah Grace double duty designer diaper bag by Lily Jade?

I’m not sure if you can get them in the UK but I’m hankering for a pacapod bag this time. Wishful thinking though, saving pennies for new house stuff!! Congrats on your successful move btw!
