Lately Mathew and I have been out of town almost every single weekend. I feel like all my friends live in other towns, and my family lives out of town too, so if we’re gone for the weekend we’re either in Dallas, Austin, or Corpus.
This weekend we went to Dallas and spent time with the awesome Neely, her boyfriend A, Amber, and her boyfriend Nate. I really love those two girls- they’re some of my favorite bloggers. If you didn’t know- they’re the awesome duo behind It’s Ok, the Thursday link up.
I got this adorable picture of Neely while we let the guys go into some random store/haircut place while we window shopped. These chairs were outside the shop and were so comfy!
During our window shopping we came across this fun place called Max’s Wine Dive. We’d just eaten at Mi Cocina (I totally recommend their sour cream and chicken enchiladas) so we were really full, but wanted to grab a drink. They have $3 mimosas which I was totally down for. It was awesome.
After chatting for a while at Max’s, Mathew and I split from Neely and A to head to The Boardroom. Um, this place was awesome, and kinda makes me wish I was a guy so I could go there. It’s like a spa and salon for men, and super cool grooming experience for them. We’re actually going to do a vlog about it for the blog this week, so make sure you’re on the look out for it! In the meantime, you should check out this Vine video I made of Mathew’s experience!
Mathew got the Benchmark package which came with a personal consultation, tailored haircut, paraffin hand dip, scalp massage, facial with a steamed towel, and a hand/arm massage. He practically was asleep at this point when I took his picture because he was so relaxed.
Mathew got his cute haircut and was so happy. We met back up with Neely and A and hung out for a while until it was time to go to Victor Tango’s and meet up with Amber and Nate!
Of course- when you go to restaurants with friends, you can’t help but take pictures inside of the bathroom when everyone has to go at the same time.
There’s also this huge chair at the entrance of Victor Tangos. I literally had to have Mathew bend on one knee so I could step on it to jump up. Yeah, I know I’m short- but hey, it’s tall!
After dinner (and the last time I’ll ever eat Crab, Mac, and Jack), we headed to this awesome place called Barcadia. It’s a bar that has arcade games, giant Jenga and Connect 4, and free skeeball! It was tons of fun. We played Jenga as a huge group and Amber got video of me trying to catch it as it was falling, and then it completely collapsing on me.
Mathew and I drove back home and got back pretty late, but it was SO much fun. I really enjoyed spending time with these two. Only wish it’d been longer!
What did you do this weekend? Tell me all about it!

How fun! Man, I wish I knew some local bloggers. I love all of the bloggers I’ve virtually met, but if I’m going to be honest, I’d love if I could meet a few of them in real life. Let the fun and hilarity ensue!
