HAPPIES

1. I seriously love my first grade team. We are such a fun and hilarious group and I am loving getting to know my coworkers this week. They’re definitely making me feel less anxious about everything. I mean- school starts in a week and a half! Eek!

2. My mother-in-law has made us dinner twice this week. It’s made a very tired Stephanie very happy. She also gave us $10 to go get some ice cream at Sonic this week (yet- we have not used it. grr).

3. I get to be reunited with two of my favorite blogger besties- Neely and Amber!

Remember this awesome pic of me, Amber, Whitney, Heather, Neely, and Ashley from Blissdom?

Sunday is Mathew’s birthday and Mathew specifically asked if we could invite Neely, Amber, and their guys to the Rangers game on Saturday to celebrate! I’m so excited to see the girls. I haven’t seen them since our weekend in the big D which has been far too long if you ask me. Mathew and I are spending the night at Amber’s and I’m excited to meet the Instagram famous Binky (Amber’s dog)! He’s so cute and needs to be Pearl’s boyfriend haha.

4. We watched the Duck Dynasty season premiere and I just cried at how sweet Phil and Kay’s “vows” were to each other. I know a little bit about Phil’s back story because we gave my father-in-law a book called “Happy, Happy, Happy” that Phil wrote. He had a pretty troubled life back in the day, and I’m just so glad to see how God changed his life.

5. Tonight we start Mathew’s birthday festivities. We’re going out to dinner with our friends. I haven’t really seen our friends in a while, so I’m glad we’re going to get to spend some time with them. I’m hoping I will have enough energy after dinner to suggest something fun like bowling. We’ll see though!

6. One of the 2nd grade teachers gave me a box full of books that were too low for her grade level. Books are like gold to teachers, so this made me SO happy. I’ve been feeling like I don’t have enough books and I really haven’t been able to buy more (I want to wait for the huge Friends of the Library sale later this semester) so this was seriously awesome.

7. I got to spend some time with Paige at Diamondback’s (a local restaurant)  yesterday. I’m so sad we hadn’t gotten together other than twice EVER, and now she’s leaving town. We had a great time chatting, and she actually let me reminisce about my Memaw and how she’d make me homemade flour tortillas after school with Velveeta as a kid. If you’re not following Paige, please do. She and her boyfriend are super cute too- see?

CRAPPIES

1.  Remember that “Making Time For Yourself” post? I still haven’t done ANY of those things. Mainly because I can’t afford them. Sigh. Luckily, I have an appointment next week on Saturday to get my hair cut. I may just sneak in that mani/pedi too while I’m at it.

2. I haven’t done laundry in like 2 weeks. Granted, I have enough clothes to last me that long, but I’m gettin’ down to the clothes that I don’t even like wearing (which I should probably get rid of, huh?)

3. I’m on overload with information about work with all the training this week. I definitely need to sleep in this weekend at least a little!

Now it’s your turn to link up! Tell us about the Happies and Crappies from your week!
