This weekend was one of the best weekends I’ve had since we got married. I am so proud to say that I am a COLLEGE GRADUATE! Everything went by so fast and I am completely exhausted from all of it, but I feel so accomplished.

We had a graduation grill out for my family and friends, and I seriously had a great time.

There were SO many people there other than my immediate family that came to support me and it seriously meant the world to me. I had no idea so many people cared about me graduating!

We had a delicious lunch with burgers, homemade baked beans, potato salad (my mom’s- my favorite), and cupcakes from What About Cupcakes. It’s like the best cupcake place in town. Everything was delicious and I stayed pretty full until we finished graduation at like 9:30 at night.

I was so thankful to get lots of awesome classroom supplies, bags, and organization items- plus money. Although I usually don’t like to mention money when getting gifts, I am this time because this money is going to the best part- paying for my teaching certifications with the state of Texas! It’s definitely going to help us (since being on one income is hard) and I’m even more excited to use all my gift cards to get even MORE teaching stuff. Now to actually find a job!

To everyone that came that I know is reading this (Brittney of the Hood and Austin)  and those that aren’t: thank you SO much for supporting me on my special day. I am so appreciative of all the support you all have given me over the years. It’s not been an easy journey, but I’m so excited to have everything finished with! I appreciate all the love and encouragement you’ve given me!

To my bloggy friends: Thank you ALL for your kind comments the past couple of weeks (and listening over and over to me being excited) as well as the sweet words on Facebook, TwitterInstagram, and via text this weekend. They made me smile! You guys give me great motivation!

Tomorrow I’ll be recapping the actual ceremony and show y’all some great pictures we got! Stick around!
