As most of you know, Mathew and I are trying to pay for as much of our wedding as possible. We’ll probably be paying for 85-90% of it, and we’re ok with that. Well, yesterday, I got a call from my mom. She mentioned that my dad had gotten a bonus at work and that they were going to give me $500 (they’re also giving me money from their taxes, but i wasn’t expecting this too!)!
This money is going to be SO helpful, especially since I won’t be able to save as much in April (when I get my next paycheck) because we’ll need to buy outfits for our engagement pictures and I will need to get highlights and my nails done (no one wants a bride with 3 inch roots). I decided that with this money, we’d go ahead and use it for our deposit for our ceremony musicians, and then with the extra $400 I’ll disburse $100 to 4 different things we need to pay for (like cake, flowers, POSTAGE..etc).
Also, I wanted to thank the few of you who responded to my last post about the honeymoon flight. We decided not to take the offer (but there are still good deals out so I’m not worried) AND I found out that December 13 is the last day of finals next fall, so we can actually leave on the 14th as we wanted! I’m very happy!
That’s so exciting on all accounts! The money, the ceremony musicians and the honeymoon plans! yay!
ps, I’m not sure what my problem is but I can’t figure out how to “follow” your blog so that it comes up on my google reader… do you by chance know what i’m doing wrong?! i love reading your posts and don’t want to miss out! =)
Jasmine, at the top of my page SHOULD say “follow” and you should be able to click it. If not, you can go to http://www.blogger.com/home and on the left where it says “blogs” you should be able to click “add” and then put futuremrsmathewwolfe.blogspot.com for the URL. i’ll post this in your comments too in case you aren’t following mine up via email. hope it helps!
thank you!!
Yayy for all of the things checked off and good news 🙂 Your signature doesn’t look like there’s a border around it so maybe you fixed it before I read your comment!
i figured out what it is…i’m on google chrome. everything on the blog has a border on here, but if i use mozilla or IE it’s just fine. THANKS girlie!
I think that’s wonderful they were able to help you some! We’re also paying for the majority of our wedding, I’d say the only thing we had help with was the rehearsal dinner and pre-marital counseling course. Other than that we were on our own. It’s been really tough!
Also, the honeymoon plans sound great! Yey!
I love all the pictures you use, and how excited you get when you blog about your wedding 🙂 you’re precious.
