I should’ve been more concerned about my weight after buying my dress in late November. I’ll admit, the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years holidays really messed me up. But then it wasn’t just those holidays…
It was Valentine’s day and birthday parties for friends and family, and visiting family and Easter and graduations…and…well…you get the drift.
My family has started to eat healthier lately (my younger sister is taking a cue from the OLD me where I went from a size 12 to a 2 in 6 months-the healthy way), and they’ve been losing weight. I basically got a phone call telling me I should try to do the same. I got the hint. In a big way. They weren’t trying to be mean, and I completely understand that- but it definitely hurt my feelings.
Their suggestion to “eat healthy” again and hit the gym really upset me. But to the point where I said, “You know what? I’m going to do something about it!” So, since yesterday I’ve been eating better (I bought a bunch of new groceries with healthy food) AND I’ve been going to the gym (and Mathew’s been coming too!).
I’ve done 10 miles a day for 2 days on the stationary bike at Gold’s. That cardio cinema? My new best friend. They’re showing “The Dilemma” in there and I really have been getting into that movie. I still haven’t seen the ending yet, but that’ll have to change tomorrow!
I’m hoping I keep this up. If not for this wedding, than just for my general health. I need all you ladies on my side ok? Y’all better keep me in check 😉

I love the idea of being able to watch a movie while I exercise. Must see if any of the gyms here have that!

Wow, 10 miles a day is a lot! Just be sure to allow yourself a rest day now and then so you don’t overdo it. But I have been there, too, and definitely think you can do it! I lost 25 pounds in the year before my wedding, though I did it at a slower pace. I really need to get back with fitness and hope I’ll have more time next month in July.

shana- it’s the best! it’s like you’re working out and don’t even realize how long you’ve been doing it because you’re too into the movie!
jillian- thanks dear! you’re the best!
heather- yeah it definitely is a lot! we’re definitely making sure we don’t hurt ourselves. i didn’t plan on 10 miles, but watching the movie (and i was really into it) just made me forget about working out for so long! i think it’s awesome you lost 25 lbs before the wedding. i hope i can do that!

Yeah! Good for you!
I have, just recently, started to workout and tone up. Every time I get tired and want to quit I just think about how I want to look in my dress, and I have the motivation to keep on going. 🙂
