Envisioning “your day” is something every bride has to do in order to have a beautiful, cohesive wedding. Without a plan, nothing would be matching- formal invitations for a casual country wedding with a beach theme…it would be awful!

I am very much that type A bride. I get everything done WAY in advance (to help calm my fears that anything and everything WILL go wrong on my day), and I can just picture everything I want. Decorations however..are a little harder since it’s not my specialty.

This is where Mathew’s Aunt Marylynn enters! She is our wedding decorator (she owns en’ aw and is known for her breathtaking ceiling work (as well as many other things). She has always been so kind to me, even before Mathew and I got engaged, and has offered to decorate for us- at cost. I’m so thankful she is helping us out so much!

She called tonight to let us know she plans on coming not tomorrow, but the next Friday to come and look at the church so she can help me start envisioning what I want (so far I want NO flowers at the church…just many candles of many heights) and then we’ll go to the reception venue to discuss decor there (i want a modern take on a traditional winter wedding…ELEMENTS of Christmas (using ornaments as part of decor) but different colors (hence our palette of hot pink, purple, and silver)). If you’re wondering how that even works…check out my inspiration board HERE

I know she will just bring everything to life and make my life so much easier. I’m really excited for her to come!
