Love this creative Elf on the Shelf arrival night idea! A great way for the whole family to enjoy the elf coming to town!

When Mathew and I were newlyweds, Elf on the Shelf debuted and I had so much fun doing silly things with our elf around the house. Once the kids came into our lives, I will say, I’ve been a slacker. Our elf stayed stationary and it was fine because the kids didn’t know any better. As we get closer to the ages where the kids will know about other house elves thanks to their friends, I thought I’d come up with an Elf on the Shelf arrival night to bring in our elf in a fun and festive way.

Like every other mom I know, I’m busy. Especially right now. It’s Q4 and my business is busy, my kids have all kinds of stuff, we have holiday traveling to think about, and more. I wanted to do something fun for our Elf on the Shelf arrival, but I didn’t have too much time to get stuff together. Thankfully, we have Walmart+

We’ve had a Walmart+ membership for about a year and a half now. I absolutely love it. Right now it’s especially helpful so I can help make the most out of everyday moments, or go all out with anything else I need. I really wanted to do something extra special for the kids this year with the Elf on the Shelf. The fact that I could use my Walmart+ membership, take a few moments to find what I needed on the website, and have it delivered at my door for free ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.)  was SO helpful. It’s literally my go-to membership to save time and money AND make our lives easier.

Our elf, Timmy, and his reindeer brought so many fun things for the kids to enjoy for Elf on the Shelf arrival night thanks to Walmart+: fun yard inflatables (can you guess the theme for them?), a gingerbread house kit, Mexican hot chocolate, fun plates and napkins, Santa cups, confetti poppers, fun Elves of Play sets, and of course, candy canes!

I can’t wait for the kids to wake up in the morning and see all the fun that Timmy the elf has left them. I think we’ll kick off the morning with Elf the movie, some pancakes with Buddy the Elf (and Timmy’s) favorite- syrup, and setting up our new inflatables! I couldn’t have done it without my Walmart+ membership, and it’s just another reason why I’m still so glad we have it!
