If you don’t already know, Pinspired Style basically goes like this:
Choose an outfit that you’ve pinned and recreate it during the week. Take a few pictures, and write up a blog post with the photo of the original pin/outfit (with a link to where it came from so you can credit the original person) as well as pictures of your outfit! Then, come link up with us every Tuesday! If you’re not participating this week, we hope you’ll join us next week.
This week I decided to recreate this look from Pinterest:

I pinned this cute infographic from Pinterest because I’m student teaching this semester and although the school I’ll be working at is pretty casual, I like to be at least a little fancy. Y’all KNOW I love my chambray shirt, and this isn’t going to be the first time I’ve talked about it on the blog. I mean, hello, my blog picture is me in chambray. Doesn’t get any better, y’all! I decided to recreate a two of these looks for ya

Sweater over a button up. Preppy chic. The only problem?
You need a button up WITHOUT pockets on front.
That is definitely key.

Ok what in the world is up with my bangs?! Anyway,
this is the button down shirt look with a chunky necklace.
I’d love to try this with a patterned shirt like the picture!

Now it’s your turn to link up!
(my picture linked sideways- have no idea how that happened!)

Please make sure you credit the original pin, and if you tweet about your post, please use the hashtag #pinspiredstyle Also, please follow your hosts (myself and Laura) and visit at least 2-3 other bloggers who have linked up so we can all get to know each other!

This week is a little different than most for me:
Laura and I love seeing the outfits you guys come up with each week and hope that our link up continues to grow. However, with everyone being so busy with the holidays and/or finals, we’ve decided to take a small pause on Pinspired Style and bring it back in January after the New Year. So, link up with us today, and then spread the word with everyone you know so we have a HUGE turn out on January 8th when Pinspired Style returns!

When we bring Pinspired Style back:
We’ll be looking for 1-2 cohosts per week for Pinspired Style. If you’re interested, please comment with your name and email and we’ll get you scheduled on a calendar!

This week I decided to recreate this look from Pinterest:

I pinned this outfit because I have this love of sweater dresses. There’s something so cozy about long sleeved arms but the hint of sexiness with legs showing. Plus, the inspiration dress is a Michael Kors creation, and if you didn’t know already- I’m obsessed with Michael Kors. Mathew and I took a trip to Austin this weekend (more on that on a later date), and we hit up the outlet mall in Round Rock. Of course we had to stop in the Michael Kors shop (is it sad that I don’t even live in Round Rock yet the girl at MK knows me?!) and Mathew got me this gorgeous dress:
