Small Porch Decor Finds
There’s something that feels so good about refreshing the decor in a space. I’ve been wanting to create a fun, cozy space for our back porch for a while now, and kept putting it off. Summer nights are perfect for sitting on the porch, reading a book, chatting with a friend, or simply just enjoying fresh air. I hated that our back porch wasn’t functional and I craved a space where I could enjoy the outdoors comfortably. I found some incredible pieces on Walmart and couldn’t help but grab them thanks to their fantastic prices.
Refreshing your small porch doesn’t have to be a big task. Find simple pieces that will make an impact. For our family, durability played a big role (thanks to kids and dogs), as well as functionality in a small space. There are so many great outdoor sets on Walmart to choose from for small porch decor. Once you have that picked out, the accessories are the fun part! I chose to add beautiful lights, a basket and stand for my plants, a washable rug, and a cozy blanket to tie everything together! Just a few things made a huge difference in my small porch decor! Small Porch Decor Tips:
Can’t do a complete overhaul of your small porch? That’s ok! Here are some tips to help you refresh your space-
1| Grab a small patio chair set or one larger chair. It’ll make the space so inviting and give a place for guests to sit.
2| Use pillows or blankets for a cozy spot. I love this Barefoot Dreams dupe that I found on Walmart. The blanket is so soft and perfect for nights on the porch.
3| Add texture with a rug. Concrete is boring and can get really hot. Add more depth to your space with a washable outdoor rug.
4| Add some lighting. Warm white lights evoke comfort and relaxation. I love Edison lightbulbs and the way they can make a space look. They’re such an easy way to make a difference in a space for an affordable price!
5| Don’t forget plants! Depending on the season, you can find some really pretty plants to spruce up a spot. A raised garden bed is an easy way to do this, put a plant in a beautiful basket, or put a plant on a table with a plant stand. Either way, the addition of color will really make your space enjoyable.
Before this summer small porch decor refresh, our porch had a bbq pit, a stack of chairs, and other random things. It was such an eye sore. It feels so good to have a functional, usable space now!
