I absolutely love this Kindness printable from The Vintage Modern Wife and her kindness project story!

Addie’s 1st birthday is coming up very soon. After 6 months in NICU we gave away a Mamaroo to the hospital as a token of our appreciation, but after 4 months in the PICU, we really didn’t get to do anything special because we didn’t want to jinx Addie coming home. Shortly after we came home, Baby Jack and Co. contacted me and asked if we’d like to participate in a kindness project called Spread the Lovey. Unsure of how the project worked, I delved into their website and found more information.

I love the story behind #spreadthelovey and The Vintage Modern Wife. This is a perfect kindness project!

The Spread the Lovey kindness project is a project that sends lovey blankets to kids that need them the most. Not only that, but it gives others joy in being able to give back to others by physically giving the lovey blankets instead of just ordering them online and knowing they will reach the destination. A few months ago, one of Addie’s PICU nurses reached out to me (knowing that I’m a blogger) and mentioned how she was sad that their hospital didn’t really have many “goodies” to give their PICU patients. The children that come through the PICU range from several weeks old to 18 years old. They could have cancer, be car crash victims, or just be an incredibly complicated case like Addie. They could be there for a few hours, all the way up to several months. Bottom line- the PICU can be a scary place, and a little lovey could bring a smile to a child that is worried, frightened, or very sick. Loveys would be the perfect answer.

I love the story behind #spreadthelovey and The Vintage Modern Wife. This is a perfect kindness project!

I decided that I wanted to team up with the Spread the Lovey kindness project and the loveys that our readers would purchase would go straight to our PICU and we would give them out on Addison’s birthday as a big thank you to the team for taking care of our girl. When I spoke with Kelley, the sweet owner of the company, I asked her what a general goal was for the kindness teams that participated in this project. She gave me a small goal and I said that I wanted to surpass that goal.

I want to donate 100 loveys to our PICU.

Each lovey is $18 and will be sent in a HUGE box with all the other purchased loveys to me, personally. Addison, Mathew, and I will visit our children’s hospital for Addie’s birthday, and we will donate all the loveys to the PICU and tell them how amazing our readers are and what you all have done for the children there. It will be a HUGE celebration and gift for our hospital!

Will you help me? Will you help me SURPASS my goal of 100 loveys by August 15th and participate in this kindness project?

How can you help?

1. Visit the Spread the Lovey website by Baby Jack and Co.

2. Choose your quantity of loveys to send.

3.  Checkout. Any address you put won’t matter. All the loveys through that particular link will go directly to me no matter what address you put in.

4. Pat yourself on the back for participating in such an awesome, meaningful kindness project.

So what are you waiting for? Will you take the leap and join us in this kindness project?
