A couple weeks ago Mathew and I hit up World Market during our anniversary weekend. It’s one of my favorite stores from back home, and I’m sad we don’t have one in Waco. Fortunately for me, we spent our anniversary weekend in Austin, so I made sure that we hit up World Market before we left to go back to Waco.
If you didn’t know, World Market has an adorable partnership with the Life of Pi film, and is featuring TONS of stuff inspired from the movie. Life of Pi is the story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper’s son, who survives a disaster at sea and is thrown into an epic journey. While adrift in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with another a fearsome Bengal tiger. The movie opened in theaters November 21, 2012.You can watch the trailer for Life of Pi here.
You have to admit- everything looks AWESOME here. Beautiful rug, home accents, decor ideas, and just fun inspiration from Life of Pi. |
I found TONS of Life of Pi stuff at World Market, and was immediately drawn to the fashion stuff. Y’all KNOW I love fashion, so I grabbed a TON of stuff.
There were beautiful gold earrings (heavy too, so you know they’re good quality), beaded necklaces, bright colored tunics, scarves, bracelets, and oh so many more things. I went a little crazy, I’m not gonna lie.
Tons of beautiful earrings! These gold ones were a personal fave! I’m all about statement pieces. |
Gold cuffs are totally in. Pair it with a Life of Pi tunic and you’re “golden” OR with a Life of Pi leather bracelet for an extra chunky look! |
How gorgeous is this red and gold beaded necklace? It’s PERFECT for the holidays with a little black dress! |
I paired my tunic with leggings and boots, but you could easily wear it with jeggings! I’m wearing a gorgeous necklace and matching bracelet from World Market as well. |
My green Life of Pi tunic with the red beaded necklace I got from World Market. LOVE how it ties in the bottom of the tunic! |
At the end of the day, I walked away with a Life of Pi tunic, 2 bracelets and 2 necklaces. I seriously couldn’t help myself. I wore my tunic and bracelets to church the next day and got SO many compliments on how thin I looked (the tunic is SO forgiving) and someone even asked me if I’d been to India on a mission trip! I felt amazing ALL day. As you all know, I’m on vacation for skiing in New Mexico right now, and I even made sure to pack my Life of Pi tunic from World Market so I could have something comfy to travel in on our way here.
I also couldn’t resist checking out all the other sections of World Market and walked away with stocking stuffers and gifts for the TWO HARDEST people on my Christmas list. Y’all- this store is the bomb. Go head their way! But first….go enter the World Market sweepstakes and then enter my giveaway to be my twinsie!
