I’ve been blogging for a couple years now, but only until a year and a half ago started meeting up with other bloggers. I remember being so nervous and excited for my first unofficial meet up, and then I branched out to blogger conferences, and other meet ups throughout Texas. I have loved every single meet up because of so many aspects- getting to travel, meeting new people, getting tips and tricks from friends, and generally just having a fun time without any worries. After going to the blogger meet up hosted by my lovely friends, Ruthie and Rose, I realized it was time for me to host my own. I wanted a meet up around Valentine’s day, in Texas, and something that would be a mini-holiday for bloggers, hence, the Texas Valentine Blogiday.
With the help of my awesome friends, Adrian and Casey, we brainstormed during Christmas and New Years’ break all of the ideas we had for the meet up. I’ve traveled so many times for meet ups in the past in Austin and Dallas, that I really wanted to bridge those two gaps together. There’s the Austin blogger meet ups and the Dallas blogger meet ups, but Waco was smack dab in the middle and seemed like the perfect location. The best part? I wouldn’t have to drive!
While I planned logistics and our amazing sponsors (shout out to The Confetti Bar, HomemadeXOJules, Olive Branch, and Grae Apparel!), Casey and Adrian planned gift bags for our blog friends that would join us. We had an great response of people who RSVPed to the party, and were SO excited to get the show on the road on February 8th.

When our blogger friends arrived to the meet up they were greeted with goodies (chocolate, wine, a tea towel, and other fun stuff!) and a custom made confetti popper from The Confetti Bar. I was DYING for the girls to see their poppers, because Jessica from The Confetti Bar, had put so much work into them and they were perfect. Not only were they the best shades of pink, but we had custom labels with our hashtag, and we had custom confetti made with our hashtag. Seriously…I was blown away- and the girls were too.
Olive Branch, where our meet up was held, was so gracious to give us delicious cupcakes for our meet up! As full as I was from brunch, I couldn’t help but try one because they looked so delicious. What I thought was plain vanilla actually had a sweet surprise- fresh strawberries inside! It definitely took me by surprise. I’d never had a cupcake with fresh fruit actually in it. It was amazing!
After our cupcakes, we all got together for a group picture and took a few pictures of us with our new friends in small groups. I think our backdrop with the tissue paper garlands from HomemadeXOJules’ Etsy shop were perfect and set the mood for our fun Valentine’s blogiday.
I am so so so sad that I missed this! I only recently found your blog. I’m hoping that someone will eventually do something closer to Houston…or I would love to try and set something up too! Can’t wait until another meet up though looks like ya’ll had a great time! 🙂

|I have been accustomed to wax all my life, but recently I had to reluctantly begin performing it on my own. I found it extremely tough and time consuming, and I could not get each one of the small hairs. Therefore I decided I would obtain an epilator. Although this was my first time ever using an epilator, I can really advocate this!
