The misting cauldron came with a cauldron, a magic wand, an instruction fold out, and potion packets for kids to cast a “magic spell” and make their Magic Mixie “come to life.” Kids were able to experience “real magic” using their interactive magic wands and potion packets in order to make a little Magic Mixies stuffed animal appear.
This year, the new iteration of the toy is called the Magic Mixies Magical Crystal Ball. It’s listed for kids ages five to eight, but in our experience, even kids-at-heart will enjoy it! The Magic Mixies Magical Crystal Ball features over 80 lights, sounds, and reactions. When the “spell” has been completed in the crystal ball, your child will end up with the most adorable, furry little pet with fortune-telling capabilities.
How Does the Magic Mixies Magical Misting Crystal Ball Work?
The newest addition to the Magic Mixies family, the Magical Crystal Ball, combines fun and magic with many interactive features. The Magic Mixies Magical Crystal Ball allows kids to create their very own fortune-telling Mixie by performing the Creation Spell using a light-up interactive magic wand. When kids use the light-up interactive magic wand and say the magic words, the crystal ball fills with mist and a Mixie appears. Kids can play a game with the toy, teach it how to tell fortunes, ask it questions (the Mixie’s forehead gem will light up to answer), make it disappear and reappear, and more. Even better, at night, it can turn into a night light and kept on their nightstand.

The most fun part about the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball is “creating” the Magic Mixie using magic. To do this kids need to follow the instructions provided and master the correct wand movements. Kids will also need to say the correct commands at the right times while using the various packets of ingredients in order. Then the Magic Mixies Crystal Ball magically responds to each of the wand movements, and the wand will turn the appropriate color. Once all the ingredients have been added and the wand movements are properly done, the child will need to say the magical words, “MAGICUS MIXUS!” to bring their new Magic Mixies to life!
The Crystal Ball creates a brilliant show of mist, colors, and magical sounds, then clears away to reveal an adorable interactive plush pet with a light-up gem on its forehead. After an adult cuts the ties that keep the Magic Mixies in the Crystal Ball, kids can continue to perform spells, play interactive games, have their Magic Mixies tell fortunes and answer “yes or no” questions and more. The cool thing? The Crystal Ball sphere can be used as a night-light, too!
