We’ve been doing some online shopping lately with some gift cards and birthday money and it was requested that I put all my fun finds here! Everything we’ve bought for this Amazon + Target Find in April is super practical (I always back out of buying non-practical things for no reason whatsoever- even if it’s more of a need than want) and I think everyone will love them! I love shopping at Amazon and Target because my orders can be sent directly to my house, or with Target I can choose to do online order pickup in my car. If you’re in need of some great finds specifically for kids, check out these indoor energy burning toys and these outdoor energy burning toys. They’re all incredible!
The Amazon Finds
1| Weighted Blanket– At Christmas it seemed like just about everyone in our family got a weighted blanket– except me. It’s no one’s fault that I didn’t ask for one, but that’s because it’s a gift I didn’t even know I needed… until now. Mathew snagged this weighted blanket for me earlier this month to make sure it’d be here on time for Mother’s Day and when it arrived I had to try it for a moment before he put it away to wrap. It’s amazing, has a gorgeous quilting pattern, and is such great quality. I got the 15 lb 60×80 (queen size) and it’s just perfect.
2| 6 foot iPhone Cords– I’m not sure why, but our last iPhone cords didn’t last long at all. I went back to an iPhone cord I bought a couple years ago that lasted forever and bought two of them for us. The cable helps so it never frays, and I love that they’re long so I don’t have to sit so closely to a plug! I will never buy another brand of iPhone cord.
3| His and Hers Silicone Rings- Mathew and I have been working out more and I have a nickel allergy which requires me to get my wedding ring re-dipped once a year or else I have a massive rash stay on it for months. Mathew got a great silicone ring set for himself that he can alternate according to his mood for working out, and he chose this beautiful silver metallic trio set for me so I’m not all itchy while I wait for jewelry stores to reopen.
4| Splash Pad– I told you all in the outdoor toys post how incredible this thing is. We snagged it with some of Lawson’s birthday money (thanks Aunt Marylynn!) and it seriously was the best purchase ever. I‘m not lying. There is no inflating required and that is a blessing for dads all around the world! Just hook it up to a hose on low, let it fill the outer ring with water, then adjust the water flow to change the sprinkler part of the splash pad. Best part is, putting away is just as easy and took all of 2 minutes to do. Lawson loved it, my husband wasn’t grumbling about putting it together, and I was happy that Lawson got all his energy out.
5| Magic Dishwashing Gloves–I’ve been trying to put together what I want to give my mom for Mother’s Day. She is super practical and enjoys things she uses that make life easier. When I saw these, I knew she needed them. My mom always got her nails done pre-quarantine, and had dishwashing gloves so her mani would last longer, but how neat are these?! These Magic Dishwashing Gloves have built in scrubbies so you don’t have to worry about nasty bacteria-filled sponges! I’m putting some more things together for her but I couldn’t resist snagging them for her gift basket.
The Target Finds
6| Black Box Fan– If you’ve converted your garage into a home gym like I have, you’ll definitely want this. I love that this black box fan comes in a large size so I feel a lot of air, and it has 3 speeds. Perfect for my garage and my workouts have been much more pleasant since. Thankful it is so powerful and a really cheap price!
7| Kinetic Sand Beach Sand Kingdom– I’ve loved Kinetic Sand for years. As a former teacher I used it at my table for lessons with my students, and now as a mom I love it with Lawson and Addie because it doesn’t make a mess like regular sand. Kinetic Sand is great for sensory activities and is just downright fun. We grabbed the Beach Sand Kingdom kit with the last of Lawson’s birthday money (thanks Granny!) because everything can stay in it’s box. It’s large enough for playing, comes with several tools, and has 3 lbs of kinetic sand in it. Nothing better than that!
8| Kid and Adult Forks– I don’t know about you guys, but there’s a fork thief among us. Somehow, somewhere, at some point in time someone has hidden my forks. I was down to 4 out of a set of 12! I bought 8 of these Teagan forks to get us back to 12 and I’m super impressed! These are thick, heavy, and definitely great quality. Those forks are a STEAL for only $1 a piece. Lawson was in need of some quality forks too. He’s past the plastic fork phase and wants a real fork so he can stab his food properly. This Cloud Island Fork Set is a pack of 3. Handles are easy to hold and fork tines are slightly rounded so your toddler doesn’t hurt himself. They’re a hit with Lawson!
9| Medallion Opal Comforter– After Lawson had a bloody nose explosion all over our bed a few months ago, I decided that a gift from a friend (who so sweetly told me to treat myself) was going to go towards a brand new comforter set. We’ve stuck with solids or more manly neutrals our whole 8 years of marriage, but Mathew and I decided to be a little wild and find one with a cool pattern. When I found this Medallion Opal Comforter I knew it was the one! It comes with the comforter, a bed skirt, 2 shams, 2 Euro shams, and 2 decorative pillows. Really super affordable too and that made me happy. It’s already on our bed and I love it!
10| Jersey Sheet Set– To go along with our new comforter I had to get some sheets because ours look like a murder scene thanks to the bloody nose incident. I decided on this Jersey sheet set and have already laid in bed and melted. The sheets are SO soft and have a nice stretch so it wasn’t a workout to put the fitted sheet on the bed. The set comes with a fitted sheet, top sheet, and 2 pillow cases I got the navy and it’s PERFECT with our new comforter and is an exceptional inexpensive price.
