I posted this in a special Disney group, but it needed to be said here:

My daughter Addie was in the hospital the first 10 months of her life. She's spent many weeks and months in and out of the hospital ever since, and last December we went to WDW for a Make-A-Wish trip. When Addie was in the hospital we always had Disney movies on her her. They were her constant. She loved the music and songs, so when helping Addie choose her wish, we knew there would be nothing better than WDW.

This photo is my favorite from our trip. I'm a blogger and we sold shirts to raise money for even more extras for Addie on her trip. A friend gifted a visit to BBB, shirt money went to more spending money to buy Addie whatever she wanted. Several of our readers showed up during our day at MK and it was amazing to meet people that had followed her journey for so long. People that loved our family from afar.

I realized though once we got home that we missed one key thing when visiting WDW- we never met Mickey. We saw Mickey in the parade but we never got in line to meet him. We had jam packed our schedule and I couldn't believe we forgot the Mouse.

I saw a post from Moshe Guilaran aka @diz_life and his beautiful art of a friend of his with Mickey and practically begged him to work on my favorite photo and add Mickey. He did not disappoint whatsoever. I cried happy tears seeing how perfect his art was in our photo. The characters are so perfectly featured!

If you are looking for an artist to make you something one of a kind with a lot of magic, please seek him out. You won't be disappointed.

What’s something you’ve done lately that just brought a smile on your face?

The other weekend as we visited the #dallasarboretum, Lawson had been eyeing this fun water feature in the Children’s Adventure Garden. Other children were playing in the water but I didn’t want him soaking wet so we kept on walking. On our way out I saw him eyeing it again. I told him to go for it.

Lawson was so happy! Jumping for joy, splashing in the water, acting surprised as water would hit him on the face. Oh he was filled with so much happiness.

We had extra clothes in the car and as he walked soaking wet to the exit, he had the biggest smile ever. I’m so glad I said yes to him. Not only was his smile ear to ear, but so was mine.

Tell me something good today that’s recently happened to you! Then, I’ll share mine!

Today was a big day for our family. We visited church for the first time since March. There was so much thought put into our decision and with our church taking precautions, we decided to give it a try.

We walked in with the music playing, masks on, and as I walked down the aisle to an entire empty section of chairs, I started bawling. I’m totally aware that God isn’t just in physical church buildings, but it’s been hard to do church from home because of distractions with the kids. Sometimes I’m able to just listen to music online as I cook breakfast, other times only bits and pieces of the sermon. So to say I missed church- it’s no understatement.

It felt SO good to go to church today. To sing and worship and just be fully immersed in the experience. I’ve missed it so much, and it did my heart the most good it has had in a long while.

It’s a big day for Lawson!

Today Lawson started Mother’s Day Out at our church! He gets to go once a week and was a bit nervous this morning, but I am sure he’s having an awesome time now. I can’t wait to pick him up in a couple hours and see how his day went!
