This post is sponsored by Disney for Disney Screen. I was compensated movie passes in exchange for this post.
Today is Mathew’s last day of work at Enterprise. With several job prospects and a couple offers, we’re nervous but excited. To be honest, Addie and I haven’t spent much time with Mathew this past year. Work took him away for over 12 hours a day and his commute is an hour each way. It hasn’t been easy. I’m excited for our weekend to start, because Mathew will have some space in between finishing his job and starting a new one. This means we can do some fun things and enjoy our time as a family for once. It’s going to be the first time we will have more than a weekend of just us together, and I’m so thrilled. I have big plans for our week (other than hitting up Disney Social Media Moms On the Road for half a day by myself) like getting snow cones as a family, making dinner together, and going for our first family outing out of town for Disney Screen.
What’s Disney Screen?
Starting today, Disney is launching a BRAND NEW concept called Disney Screen. It’s only testing in 6 different markets and thankfully, Plano is one of them. Disney Screen will have a membership program that will ensure that whenever you go to the movies, you’ll always have a fun, family option! It’ll host 4 classic Disney movies each day. Lucky for us, the Cinemark 24 in Plano is hosting Disney Screen and throughout August they’ll have different themes each week including Disney Music, Disney Dogs, Pixar, and Disney Animals!
How much does it cost?
Awesomely enough, Disney Screen comes with different admission options for quarterly, monthly, weekly or daily passes. Each pass admits one person. We got a family 4 pack with a monthly admission so Mathew, Addie, a nurse, and myself could go!
o Quarterly – $40, Unlimited admission for three months
o Monthly – $20, Unlimited admission for one month
o Weekly – $10, Unlimited admission for seven days
o Daily – $5, 4 Movies, One Great Day!
Addie doesn’t go out in public too much, and we will of course take all the precautions needed for her when we go. Our plan? To go on a day and time that is the least busy so we don’t have to worry about little kid germs. Also? We’ll carry hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes for our chairs, and all of Addie’s necessary supplies like her pulse oximeter, extra trachs, suction machine, ventilator, and ambu bag. We’re trying to live our lives as normal as possible, especially while it’s not respiratory season. As long as we take precautions, we can lead as much of a normal life as we’d like! I’m not sure which Disney movie we’ll introduce her to first, but I love all the options from Music Week next week!
The great folks behind Disney Screen wanted to share this fun opportunity with one of our Texas readers. We want to gift one lucky person with a Family Four Pack August Monthly Pass to the Disney Screen located in Plano!
Wow! What a great idea I think we may head up one day in Aug to see a movie.
What a incredibly awesome idea. I love this. I will absolutely be checking this out since it’s only 25 mins from me and have a sister I Frisco. I will be sharing your post to pass along this great chance to see our favorite Disney Movies. Thank you Stephanie for sharing. And CONGRATULATIONS on Mathew’s new job! God is so good!

What a neat idea! We will have to try to go up this month before we start home schooling in September again. Addie looks adorable in her Minnie ears and does a good job of advertising:-). Thanks for sharing this information with us. The girls will love it!
Going to have to take my little one! He loves Disney! 🙂
What a fantastic treat! I hadn’t heard of this, and I’m so glad you shared it. We can easily get to Plano, but your giveaway makes it a lot more appealing. 🙂 I’d have to say Dogs Week would be my fave!
