Sometimes I wonder about my parents. They read my Facebook posts (thank God they don’t have Twitter!) and take them out of context, call me, and then I have to explain it to them. For instance, my dad apparently read this post on Facebook:
Afterward, I got a phone call from my mother saying “So I heard you’re having a birthday party this weekend. Thirty one?” “Um, no mom. Thirty-One is a company that sells cute bags, totes, and organization stuff. Besides, you know my birthday is in JULY and I’m only 26!!!”
Apparently it’s my 31st birthday and I don’t even know it. My parents are crazy. I had to explain the awesomeness that is Thirty-One and tell them how excited I was for this party…
I was so excited for my party that I may have gotten carried away with my cleaning. Mathew and I cleaned the whole apartment for over 2 hours (I even cleaned baseboards!) because I always want my place to look clean when friends come over.
I made cookies and a yummy cream cheese/marshmallow fluff fruit dip and bought some tea for the party. It wasn’t much, but hey- we’re on a budget!
I had a great time and I was so glad that the party went well! I know several of you have mentioned to me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that you wish you could’ve come to the Thirty-One party. I’ve got good news for you!
YOU CAN COME TO THE PARTY AND BE FASHIONABLY LATE!
I had my lovely consultant, Amy, keep my Thirty-One party open so YOU could shop it! It’s only going to be open until Sunday, June 9th so DON’T MISS OUT!
I’ll be having another Thirty-One party in August and if you’re a Texas blogger I’d LOVE if you could come! I’ll give y’all more details later!
PS- Can y’all also please take a quick second to go vote for my bloggy bestie Neely for the Dallas A List local blogger? I’d absolutely love if you voted for her! You can vote EVERY day so I hope y’all will help her out. She totally deserves to win!
